Obsidian
A local markdown vault with backlinks. The notes stay yours.
What it is
Obsidian is a notes app that stores plain Markdown files in a folder you choose. Links between notes, a graph view, and plugins are the draw. Sync and publish are paid extras. Use it when you want a second brain that still opens in any text editor if the app disappears.
