Anki
Ugly, free, and the best way to keep facts in your head.
What it is
Anki is a spaced-repetition flashcard program. Desktop is free; AnkiMobile on iOS is paid and funds development. Android (AnkiDroid) is free. The UI is dated. The algorithm is why medical students and language learners still use it. Duolingo is nicer; Anki is the one that sticks.
